Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Eagle Power collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have kept it in plain language. If anything here is unclear, call or email us and we will explain it.

Who we are

This website is operated by Royal Eagle Power Inc., trading as Eagle Power, an electrical contracting business based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Royal Eagle Power Inc.

We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Our registered postal address is 101 29th St E #104, North Vancouver, BC V7N 1C5, Canada. You can reach us at info@eaglepower.ca or (778) 680-3535.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and carry out electrical work you ask us to do. There is no account to create on this site, and we do not sell anything through it.

  • Information you give us in the quote or contact form — typically your name, email address, phone number, the type of project, and whatever you write in the message field. The form is an embedded form provided by our website platform, Craftify AI.
  • Information you give us by phone or email — including the service address where work is to be carried out, and details about the property or the electrical problem.
  • Job and service records — quotes, invoices, work performed, photos of the installation where relevant, and warranty details, once you become a customer.
  • Technical information collected automatically — your device's IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the page that referred you. This comes from our hosting provider's standard logs and from the advertising cookies described below.

Why we use it

We use your personal information to respond to your enquiry, prepare and send quotes, schedule and carry out electrical work, invoice you, honour warranties, and keep the records a licensed contractor is expected to keep.

We also use aggregate and advertising data to understand which of our ads and pages actually lead to enquiries, so we do not waste money advertising to the wrong people. This is described in the cookies section below.

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA we rely on your consent, which you give by submitting the form or contacting us, and on the reasonable purposes of establishing and managing a customer relationship. We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run this business and this website, and only so far as they need it to do their job for us.

  • Craftify AI — our website platform and hosting provider, which also provides the embedded quote form. Enquiries submitted through the form pass through their systems.
  • Google LLC — through the Google Ads conversion tag, the embedded Google Map on our contact page, and Google Fonts, each of which is described in the cookies section.
  • Professional advisers, insurers and payment or accounting providers — where we genuinely need them for a job, a claim or our own bookkeeping.
  • Government bodies, inspectors or law enforcement — where we are required by law, by a permit or inspection process, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Where your information is processed

We are based in British Columbia, but some of the service providers above operate outside Canada, including in the United States. That means your personal information may be stored or processed outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that country and accessible to its courts and government authorities.

We choose established providers and rely on their contractual and technical protections, but we cannot control foreign legal processes. If you would rather not have your information handled this way, contact us by phone instead of using the form and we will take your details directly.

Cookies and advertising

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses a small number of them, and we want to be specific about which.

We run Google Ads, and this site carries a Google Ads conversion tag. It records when a visit that came from one of our ads leads to an action such as tapping our phone number, so we can tell which ads are working. This tag can set advertising cookies in your browser and shares data with Google LLC. We do not run Google Analytics on this site.

Our contact page embeds a Google Map, and our pages load fonts served through Google Fonts. Loading either one tells Google your IP address and basic device information, in the same way visiting any page that includes Google content does.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off personalised advertising in Google's own Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. Blocking these cookies does not stop you using this site, calling us, or submitting the form — nothing on this site depends on them.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 24 months from our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner, or we need them longer for a job record, a warranty or a legal obligation.

Records relating to work we actually carried out — quotes, invoices, permits and inspection paperwork — are kept for as long as tax, insurance, warranty and electrical-safety requirements call for, and then securely destroyed.

Your rights and choices

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong or incomplete, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and withdraw your consent to our using it for anything that is not needed to complete work already agreed.

Email info@eaglepower.ca or call (778) 680-3535 and we will respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires. We may need to confirm your identity first so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Children

This website is intended for adults arranging electrical work for a property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

How we protect it

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we limit access to enquiry and customer records to the people in our business who need them. We choose reputable providers for hosting and forms, and we keep the number of third parties on this site deliberately small.

No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us sensitive information such as banking details or identification documents through the website form; call us instead.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or which providers we use, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you directly. Please check this page from time to time.
